Timber swells, shrinks and reacts to the weather, so the install has to allow for it. We reinforce the cut-out and seal it with moisture-resistant materials to give a watertight finish. That is what protects the door from swelling, warping, cracking and rot over the years.

A cat door that is too small is one your cat will avoid, and one that is too big lets in more draught than it needs to. We look at your cat’s height and width and, for a kitten, how much bigger they will get, then recommend the size that gives easy access while keeping the door as warm and secure as possible.
Cats are more particular about new things in their space than dogs tend to be, which is why the install and the training matter as much as the door itself. Pet door training is free with every installation.
If you do not want the neighbourhood’s cats, possums or strays coming in, ask about a microchip cat door. It opens only for your cat, using the microchip they already have or a collar tag.
