Fly screens and security screens
On a fly screen door, the mesh is carefully cut and secured inside the cat door frame. That is what stops it pulling away, fraying or sagging over time, even with a cat going through it many times a day.
We also fit cat doors into steel security screens, including Crimsafe and other security screen brands. The cut has to be exact on a security screen, so we check how the door is built from your photos and fit the cat door so the screen still locks as it did.
If there is a timber door behind the screen, we can fit a pet door in both so your cat can get all the way through. Every cat door we fit locks, so it can swing one way, both ways or be fully locked.
How a screen cat door install works
From your cat’s size and the screen type, we choose the door; on the day we cut the opening, fit the cat door, seal the mesh into its frame and test it. We set the height to suit your cat, which matters for older cats or cats that do not move as freely as they used to.

The frame holds the cut edge of the mesh on every side, so it does not pull away or fray at the corners. Reinforced screen cat doors are made for a cat going in and out many times a day.

Cats are more particular about new things in their space than dogs tend to be, which is why the install and the training matter as much as the door itself. Pet door training is free with every installation.
Keeping other animals out
If you do not want the neighbourhood’s cats, possums or strays coming in, ask about a microchip cat door. It opens only for your cat, using the microchip they already have or a collar tag.
