Dog Door and Cat Door Installation in the Inner West

We supply and install dog doors and cat doors in the Inner West, and we cut glass on site, so your pet can have their own way in and out.

Let them come and go

Your dog or cat is part of the family, and they have their own ideas about when it is time to go out. A pet door lets them decide, so you are not the doorman.

If you share your home with a Cavoodle, a Cocker Spaniel or a Poodle, you are in good company: they are among the dogs we hear about most across the Inner West. Tell us about your door and your dog, and we recommend the one that suits.

Homes and pets in the Inner West

In the Inner West Council area, 29% of homes are separate houses, 27% are townhouses, terraces or semis, and 42% are flats or apartments, according to the ABS 2021 Census.

That is a real mix, from freestanding houses with backyards to terraces and semis opening onto courtyards, and apartments with balcony doors. Whichever you have, the door your pet waits at is usually glass, timber or screen, and we fit all three. About 44% of households here rent. If that is you, ask us about removable panel options for sliding doors, and about screen doors, which are easier to restore later. Check with your landlord first.

Which door do you have?

Glass is the door we are asked about most, about seven in ten enquiries, and we cut it on site, with the pane standing in the frame. Choose your door to see more, or see our cat doors.

Pet door FAQs: the Inner West

Most installations take a few hours. The exact time depends on the door type, whether glass, timber, French or screen, and whether any custom adjustments are needed.

Yes. If your door has laminated glass that meets the safety and thickness standards, we can usually cut directly into the existing panel on site. Toughened glass cannot be cut once it has been made, so we replace the panel with a custom-cut toughened one that includes the pet door. Not every glazier can cut a panel standing in its frame, but we do.

Yes. Our pet doors for sliding glass doors are designed to fit in neatly. If needed, we modify the door frame or fit stoppers so the door keeps sliding smoothly.

Yes, we fit pet doors in glass balcony and sliding doors. A balcony door can be common property, so check with your owners corporation or landlord before we cut. If you are not sure, call us and we will talk it through.

Often, yes. Our cat doors for sliding doors include removable panel options that sit in the door track, with no drilling or permanent changes. Screen doors are also easier and less costly to replace than glass or timber, so a screen pet door is a practical option for many renters. Check with your landlord first.

Yes. Our pet doors and installations come with a warranty of up to 3 years.
